Jabal Moussa
Jabal Moussa is situated in the Kesserwan –Jbeil Area.
It rises up from 350m from a village called Chouwen to 1574m Karaneh el Aaksh.It is surrounded by Nahr Ibrahim from the North side and Nahr el Dahab from the south side.
Jabal Moussa was declared a Biosphere reserve by the UNESCO in 2009.One of 553 Biospheres worlwide.24th in the Arab countries and 3d in Lebanon after Rihane and shouf.
It is known for its biodiversity and Cultural heritage(the valley of Adonis and the rock of Adonis in Ghineh.)
